1. How do I address a compliment or complaint with the Police Dept.?

If you have a compliment or complaint with the Police Department fill out the Compliment/Complaint Form and return it to the Police Department.

2. When can I be fingerprinted?

Effective March 1, 2011, the Texas Department of Public Safety will only accept electronic fingerprint submissions. The Bowie Police Department, however, can still do fingerprints for general applications, such as for jobs and adoptions. We can do them anytime, but it is best between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

3. When do they test the early warning system sirens?

The early warning alarm system sirens are tested on the first Monday of each month around 6:00 pm. This is also during the time of the monthly meeting of the Bowie Fire Department. The siren system will not be tested if we have bad weather during that time.

4. Sometimes I see something that looks suspicious, but I’m not sure it is. How do I know if I should report it?

If you see anything that seems suspicious, contact law enforcement immediately! If an actual crime is taking place, the sooner you inform law enforcement, the more likely they can take care of the problem. Don’t worry about bothering law enforcement or appearing foolish if what you have witnessed is not actually criminal activity. The Bowie Police Department wants residents to contact them whenever they see something suspicious.
